FireWorksV: An All Clay Show

An All Clay Show will have its opening reception on
Saturday April 17, 2010 from 5-8 pm
at Everyday Clay Studio located in Tillett Gardens.

Potters and sculptors from around the Caribbean, or those having ties to the Caribbean, working in the medium of clay have been invited to submit work to the Fifth Annual FireWorks Show.

The aim of the show is to showcase ceramic artists and students,
to educate the community about ceramics and
to show how the medium can include functional, sculptural, wheel-thrown, hand-built, wall hangings, dinnerware and much more.

For years ceramics and pottery have been in the Caribbean.
In 2005, Lynn Berry creating the concept of FireWorks, an all clay show featuring ceramics artists from the Caribbean.
The shows have traveled from Gallery St. Thomas, to Mango Tango and now Everyday Clay Studio.

Each year the show grows with more participants and deeper creativity.   Pieces range from functional, decorative, wheel thrown, hand built, high-fired, low-fired, and wood-fired.  With all of this variety, one can see that pottery is widely varied and may not be what you would expect.
